Lois Schneider Realtor Makes Donation to Daughters of Israel

Lois Schneider, President and Founder of Lois Schneider Realtor of Summit, NJ, is a noted philanthropist in the area. It is no surprise that when the mother of someone near and dear to the firm passed away in July 2007, Mrs. Schneider was there to make a generous donation to one very special group.

A donation was made for the use by the employees of The Hirsch Pavillion at The Daughters of Israel in memory of Annabel Schillin, who was born in Newark and resided in Livingston, NJ. Annabel was the mother of Barbara Birkitt, who has been affiliated with Lois Schneider Realtor since 1995 and is currently Manager of Operations and Administration. Daughters of Israel is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a continuum of health related and social services to the elderly and disabled regardless of their ability to pay. The family requested the donation benefit the hard-working caregivers of Daughter’s of Israel, a group of people cherished by Mrs. Schillin. The staff’s selfless response was to use the funds to purchase electronic beds for the patients. With Daughters of Israel’s ability to meet Mrs. Schneider’s donation, ten new electric hospital beds were purchased for the organization’s West Orange location.
